Local contractors and suppliers are being called by the Western Australian Government to register as Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are opened for a range of works on the $451 million Bunbury Regional Hospital redevelopment project.
Key roles that will be available for tender include structural works, fit out and finishes, external works as well as electrical, mechanical and hydraulic services.
“We’re encouraging local contractors and suppliers to apply to deliver key services including structural works, fit out and finishes, external works and electrical, mechanical and hydraulic services as part of this important redevelopment.
“Our commitment to engaging local contractors – and creating local jobs – is integral for the South West community to be part of the project every step of the way,” Bunbury MLA Don Punch said.

The upgraded Bunbury Regional Hospital is set to become the biggest healthcare facility in the region which reflects its role as an important community health services hub for the entire region.
“We’re undertaking the biggest ever redevelopment of a country hospital in WA which will see us deliver one of the most modern healthcare facilities in regional Australia.
“The $451 million redevelopment will include an expanded emergency department, increased theatre capacity, additional beds and expanded mental health facilities, and maternity and birthing services for the region,” Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson said.

Earlier this year, the main works contractor for the Bunbury Regional Hospital redevelopment was announced.
Main works on the redevelopment will commence in early 2025.
