Construction is now underway on the 132MW Nevertire Solar Farm in New South Wales. This new large-scale solar farm is going to be built near Warren, with Biosar awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract for the project in May of this year.
The Nevertire Solar Farm is formerly owned by Epuron and it is now owned and being developed by UK hedge fund subsidiary Elliott Green Power.
The project was granted the planning approval in 2017 and it reached financial close in May of this year.

Epuron’s web page on the Nevertire Solar Farm said: “The cotton-growing Nevertire region has excellent solar irradiation combined with a strong electricity network - and will soon be the home of our largest solar project. Using proven single-axis tracking solar modules, the project is expected to deliver amongst Australia’s lowest-cost solar power.”
The new large-scale solar farm is projected to be completed and operational by the first half of 2019.

A ground-breaking ceremony was held earlier this month to signal the beginning of construction of Risen Energy Australia’s 132MWdc Merredin Solar Farm located in Western Australia’s Central Wheatbelt region - approximately 260 kilometres east of Perth.
Utility scale solar projects developer Eco Energy World (EEW) Australia has been given planning consent to develop a 140-megawatt solar farm near Maryborough in Queensland. The $280 million project will cover the area of about 800 acres with over 500,000 ground-mounted solar panels.
