Victoria’s Donnybrook and Wallan train stations are set to have upgrade works done as part of the $356 million Shepparton Corridor Upgrade project, which will be supporting the growing communities along the route.
The upgrades to both stations are aimed at improving passenger accessibility, safety and comfort.

On the other hand, works on Wallan Station will include new toilets in the waiting room; additional bus bays with shelters; new platform shelters; and additional bicycle parking.
In addition, both stations’ city-bound platforms will be extended in order to accommodate five-carriage loco-hauled trains as well as six-carriage VLocity trains.
These upgrades are being delivered by VicTrack in behalf of Rail Projects Victoria. A contractor to deliver the construction on both the Donnybrook and Wallan station upgrades are expected to be appointed soon, with the Request for Tender process commencing over the coming weeks.
The Donnybrook and Wallan station upgrades are valued at approximately $24 million and is jointly funded by the Australian and Victorian Governments through the $1.57 billion Regional Rail Revival program.
“Donnybrook and Wallan are important parts of the public transport network and we’re improving the stations to deliver better facilities for passengers,” Member for Yan Yean Danielle Green said.
Works on both train stations are expected to be completed by 2020.
