A $43.4 million contract has been awarded to a joint venture between SRG Limited and Georgiou Group for road upgrade works on the New England Highway in rural New South Wales.

Under their contract, the joint venture will build approximately 2 kilometres of new road and a 320-metre bridge as well as widen sections of the road as part of the Bolivia Hill upgrade.

“This is an important infrastructure project which is focused on improving road safety on the New England Highway.

“We are delighted to work with Georgiou again, in follow up to the Pimlico to Teven stage three project which we have been delivering together in NSW,” SRG Managing Director David Macgeorge said.

Once completed, the upgrade will provide improved safety, productivity, efficiency and reliability on the road.

Construction on this upgrade is expected to commence next month and is due for completion by mid-2020.
