The MMG6 Gravity Media Filter is designed for use where a large filtration area is required with good backwashing ability. The filter is constructed on the standard 20 ft ISO container footprint and incorporates 10m2 of filtration area with a machinery space housing mechanical and electrical equipment and process piping.
The filter incorporates a steel filter tank, coated for corrosion resistance, with an integrated underdrain system, air actuated control valves for process sequencing, air scour blower and filtration/backwash pumps. The filter has an on-board, Form 1 MCC & control panel with integral HMI and networkable PLC for control.
The filter is suitable for a number of applications ranging from polishing of municipal water, turbidity reduction, iron & manganese removal, direct coagulated filtration, dechlorination and organics removal.

There's a renewed push for Australia to act now on a high-speed rail system that will transport people from Melbourne to Brisbane faster than air travel - and the "stars are aligning" according to Torkel Patterson, vice-chairman of the International High Speed Rail Association. Speaking before the House of Representatives standing committee on infrastructure, transport and cities, Torkel confirmed "Australia's flirted with [a high speed rail] for a long time, I think this is the time to make a decsision." High speed rail networks already operate in countries like Japan, China, Russie, France, Spain, Poland and are currently under construction in the US - while the idea for Australia's own fast train has meandered for years.
Downer has won an estimated $37m contract to design, construct, operate and maintain a 15-megawatt solar farm on the Sunshine Coast. The operate and maintain section of the contract is for 2 years, with Council options to renew for another 3 years.
