Georgiou Group has been awarded the construction contract for Primewest’s $31 million eight-storey office development in Joondalup, Western Australia.
The new office building – named Prime House – will he occupied by various State Government departments. The Department of Water, Department of Environment Regulation and the Environmental Protection Authority – a total of 800 government staff – are going to be the new office building’s tenants once the development is completed.
According to Georgiou’s Chief Executive John Georgiou, the key to securing this project was innovation.
“In order to convert this tender our team focused on value engineering and utilising innovative materials and methodologies to provide significant cost savings for our client.
“Since 2006, we’ve worked hard to build a reputation as a quality builder of commercial developments with the majority of our past projects tenanted by the State Government,” said Mr Georgiou.
David Schwartz – Primewest’s Director – said that Prime House is going to be a landmark location for Joondalup and it will set a new benchmark for sustainability and quality in the area.
Prime House is expected to be completed in early 2018, with a significant number of local jobs to be supported during construction.
