Councils across Queensland will share more than $500 million in grants to deliver infrastructure that growing communities need and deserve.
This Queensland Government investment will fund over 570 projects across three local government programs – Works for Queensland, Local Government Grants and Subsidies Program, and South East Queensland Community Stimulus – in regions from the New South Wales border up to the Torres Strait.

“Whether it’s through this funding, Homes for Queenslanders or our city deals, only this government can be trusted to get on the job of delivering in partnership with councils to help make sure Queenslanders have the services that matter,” Local Government Minister Meaghan Scanlon said.
The projects to be funded will include housing, critical infrastructure such as roads and water, waste, parks as well as critical planning for future growth.
Almost 600 projects will be funded through this record State Government investment, including:
This record funding is part of the more than $2 billion investment from the Queensland Government to councils right across the State.
