Artist impressions of the future METRONET Whiteman Park Station along the Morley-Ellenbrook Line in Western Australia have been revealed to give the public a first glance of what passengers and locals will see once the station is up and running.
“The Morrison Government has committed $2.7 billion towards METRONET – one of the most significant transport projects in the city’s history – to support the growth of the Perth metropolitan region for decades to come.
“Our Government is continuing to fund the delivery of infrastructure projects that help to ease congestion on local roads, move freight more quickly between our cities, and generate jobs across the country.
“This is just the latest example of us delivering on our commitment to progress critical infrastructure projects across the country under our record $110 billion, 10-year infrastructure investment pipeline, which is helping to drive Australia’s economic recovery,” Minister for Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities and the Arts Paul Fletcher said.

The new station is going to be elevated while a new underpass is set to be built under Drumpellier Drive. This design will provide better connections for Brabham residents and link the growing community with the future METRONET station as well as Whiteman Park.
The Whiteman Park Station is only a 25-minute trip from the Perth CBD via the new Morley-Ellenbrook Line, which is 20 minutes less than the current trip by bus.
Whiteman Park is a popular tourist attraction with over a million people visiting annually and with the new station, locals and visitors from across Perth will have easier access to this region.
“Whiteman Park is one of the most popular tourism destinations in Perth with more than one million people visiting every day.
“The new METRONET Morley-Ellenbrook Line and Whiteman Park Station will make it more accessible for locals and visitors with only a 25-minute trip from the Perth CBD,” Transport Minister Rita Saffioti said.

A 30-year Whiteman Park Station Precinct Concept Master Plan is currently being developed to maximise investment in this growing suburban area. Once the master plan is completed and endorsed, it will inform structure planning in Brabham as well as future updates of the Whiteman Park Strategic Plan.
“This project forms part of the Morrison Government’s plan to build a stronger local community right here in Hasluck.
“The new Whiteman Park Station will enable local residents to effectively use public transport and also unlock our region to the rest of WA, encouraging local tourism and supporting local jobs and businesses,” Federal Member for Hasluck and Minister for Indigenous Australians Hon Ken Wyatt AM MP said.

Major works on the wider Morley-Ellenbrook Line development are progressing well. Clearing has commenced on the northern end of the line, including north of Marshall Road in Bennett Springs, Drumpellier Drive in Brabham and in Ellenbrook.
Initial works that will pave the way for major construction include clearing for the train line and stations at Malaga, Whiteman Park and Ellenbrook as well as preparation works for the road-over-rail bridges at Beechboro Road North and the Gnangara Road/Drumpellier Drive intersection.
Major construction is set to begin in early 2022 on the northern part of the Morley-Ellenbrook Line.
