“I have been campaigning for the Ellenbrook train line for over a decade and I am so proud to turn the sod today to mark the start of works.
“It’s important we build the infrastructure for this growth now.
“Ellenbrook Station will create more transport choice for residents living in Ellenbrook, Aveley and The Vines, and will be a key transport link for suburbs furhter to the north including Bullsbrook and surrounds,” Transport Minister Rita Saffioti said.
The new Ellenbrook Station is the northernmost station along the Morley-Ellenbrook Line and it is being built at the heart of Ellenbrook’s town centre. Once up and running, it will provide “quick and easy transport services” to the thousands of residents currently residing in and around the suburb.

The Morley-Ellenbrook Line project will deliver five new stations along the 21-kilometre rail line. Station locations include Ellenbrook, Whiteman Park, Malaga, Noranda, and Morley.
While site compounds are being established at the sites of Ellenbrook, Whiteman Park and Malaga stations, clearing and service relocations are ramping up along the rail corridor.
