OSK Property has appointed Multiplex to deliver Stage One of the multi-billion dollar Melbourne Square development, which is set to become one of Melbourne’s largest mixed-use precincts.
Melbourne Square’s Stage One – valued at $490 million – will comprise of two residential towers that are situated above an eight-level retail podium. The towers will span 54 and 69 level respectively, and will provide approximately 1,043 residential apartments.
The Stage One residential towers – designed by Cox Architects – will share a terraced podium which will provide more than 3,700SQM of public space, including landscaped parklands and a retail precinct at the base of the towers.

The $2.8 billion Melbourne Square development is going to be located at the heart of Southbank and is bound by Power, Kavanagh and Balston Streets. The entire project will consist of six towers which will range from 38 to 73 levels in height.
This development will feature a retail centre, food and beverage precinct, child care centre and extensive public parklands that will have cascading water features as well as piazzas.
“We are delighted to play a pivotal role in this exciting project which will see a city block revitalised to become a vibrant vertical village. Melbourne Square will further activate Southbank and deliver much-needed green open space and amenities to the precinct,” Multiplex Victoria Regional Managing Director Graham Cottam said.
Construction on Stage One will begin immediately and is expected to be completed in August 2020.
