3L Alliance has appointed Multiplex to deliver the first residential tower as part of the $1 billion mixed-use Queens Place project which will stand prominently at 350 Queen Street - at the verge of Flagstaff Hill - in Melbourne’s CBD.
The first stage of the billion dollar development is valued at $355 million and it will include the construction of a six-level basement as well as a six-level podium and the first 80-storey residential tower. The first tower will provide approximately 815 apartments in a variety of floor plans - including one, two and three-bedroom configurations and exclusive penthouses.

The entire Queens Place development is designed by Cox Architecture and Fender Katsalidis Architects, and it will comprise of 1,500 apartments across two 80-storey towers.
Queens Place will feature retail and commercial office suites; a public plaza that will have laneway shopping spaces; and luxurious lifestyle amenities that include restaurants, private cinemas, a library, a poker and mah jong room as well as a private garden terrace, karaoke suite and a cigar bar.

The development will also include residential facilities such as a gymnasium, a swimming pool and crèche.
“We are delighted to be part of this exciting new project, set to deliver a vibrant new vertical community to Melbourne’s CBD along with some innovative and engaging public spaces,” Multiplex Regional Managing Director Graham Cottam said.
Construction on the project will begin immediately, with completion expected in the second quarter of 2021.
