Monadelphous Group has secured two new contracts with a combined value of $170 million, one of which is for works on the Ichthys LNG project in Darwin.
The new contract awarded by JKC Australia LNG is for structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation works which will help complete the gas turbine generators as well as associated steam piping of the combine cycle power plant located at the Ichthys onshore LNG facilities.
In addition to the Ichthys LNG contract, Monadelphous’ China-based fabrication business, SinoStruct, has also secured a contract to supply about 7,000 tonnes of structural steel as well as plate work and conveyers to Kiewit Corporation.

Perth-based engineering contractor Monadelphous Group has secured $200 million worth of works in the east coast which includes two major contracts in the water infrastructure market.
Monadelphous Group has secured a $600 million contract to services to a number of Woodside Petroleum’s Western Australian gas production facilities.
Laing O’Rourke has secured the third major work package to deliver the Miscellaneous Civil Finishing Works on the Ichthys Project Onshore LNG Facilities at Bladin Point, Darwin. The project is valued at approximately $200 million and includes concrete pavements, hand railings and foundation works.
