Matilda Equipment continues to grow its fleet of VisionLink enabled machines

PlantMiner   |   December 19, 2017

Recently PlantMiner announced their national partnership with SITECH which is helping construction professionals across Australia better track their equipment location and monitor usage.

The leading fleet, asset and productivity management software for civil construction is VisionLink, a Trimble and Caterpillar joint venture. The vast majority of Caterpillar built machines since 2010 have been outfitted with the VisionLink technology which is an integral part of the Cat product line as it processes and conveys information to users and dealers.

Throughout the $7 billion construction equipment hire market, over 13,000 machines have the VisionLink tech enabled which under the new agreement, PlantMiner will leverage the information from VisionLink to provide customers access to real-time equipment information that wirelessly reports from the field.

A long-term PlantMiner customer, Dan Jauncey from Matilda Equipment excitedly anticipates the new feature to their account. “This tech will mean that we can confidently quote for a project or speak to our customers with an accurate machine hours figure. Prospective clients can see where and when our equipment is. The PlantMiner SITECH partnership is a huge bonus.”

Matilda Equipment has 15 years of business experience and continues to grow and provide machines Australia wide. They strive to provide the very best machines and service which provide a complete turnkey solution for their customers. To achieve this, Matilda implements the Visionlink technology in their day to day running of the business.

Matilda Equipment has just signed new orders for three D11-T dozers which are set to arrive early 2018 and are fitted with the GPS technology needed to connect with the Visionlink technology like the rest of their fleet. They recently hosted a demo day for their new Dozers which showcased the low hour D8, D9, D10 and D11 machines.

Through this, Matilda continues to import low hour late model machines which are a part of their change out strategy in keeping the fleet fresh.
