A major milestone has been reached in the redevelopment of the Mullewa Hospital in Western Australia as the tender for main works is released to market.
Following consultation with the local community, a new facility that will provide access to a range of health services under one roof is a step closer to reality.
Important site preparations are now being completed ahead of main works set to begin later this year.
“I’m pleased to announce a significant milestone in the Mullewa Hospital redevelopment, with the release of the tender for main works.
“The new hospital will represent a modern, fit-for-purpose facility providing the local community with access to the very latest in healthcare technology,” Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson said.
The new Mullewa Health Centre will be replacing the ageing Mullewa Hospital, delivering enhanced primary and community facilities. In addition, the new health centre will continue to provide 24/7 emergency care from the new emergency department.
