Macmahon Holding’s recently acquired underground contracting business, GBF Group, has finalised and signed off on a contract with Silver Lake Resources for more works at the Mount Monger gold operations in Western Australia, extending GBF’s tenure until March 2023.
This contract is valued at approximately $200 million.
“The new work is an important milestone in our strategy to further expand in the underground market, and demonstrates the value in our GBF acquisition. We are looking forward to working closely with Silver Lake on this project and building on our relationship with this key client,” Macmahon Holdings CEO and Managing Director Michael Finnegan said on a previous statement.
GBF has been delivering works at the Mount Monger project since 2014 and the underground miner is currently undertaking mining services at the Daisy Complex, Cock-eyed Bob and Maxwells mines – which are all part of the Mount Monger operations.
Under this new contract with Silver Lake Resources, GBF will continue operating at Mount Monger until 2023 and will also take part in the development of the new Santa mine.
The Mount Monger gold operations is located in the Eastern Goldfields region, approximately 50 kilometres southeast of Kalgoorlie.
