Ramelius Resources has awarded a new contract valued at $95 million to MACA Limited for the delivery of more works at the Tampia gold project in Western Australia.
This is the third contract awarded by Ramelius Resources to MACA Limited within four years.
The 28-month contract will involve work such as load and haul as well as drill and blast services at the Tampia operations.
“MACA is very pleased to be awarded this contract at the Tampia gold project, and values the long-standing relationship that we have established with Ramelius since commencing works on the Mt Magnet gold project in 2017, and then the Edna May gold project in 2020,” MACA CEO Mike Sutton said.
Works under this new contract is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of the 2021 financial year and MACA Limited is anticipating to employ approximately 115 people to deliver the works.

Ramelius Resources acquired the Tampia gold project from Explaurum Limited in late 2018 / early 2019.
The Tampia gold project is located approximately 12 kilometres south east of the town of Narembeen in Western Australia's wheatbelt region and about 250 kilometres east of Perth.
The Tampia deposit is about 148 kilometres away from the Edna May gold mine – where MACA is currently in operations – and is accessible by sealed roads.
