Capricorn Metals Ltd has signed a Letter of Intent with MACA Mining – a subsidiary of MACA Limited – for the award of an Open Pit Mining Services Contract for the Karlawinda Gold Project in Western Australia.

“The selection of a preferred mining contractor is the culmination of a competitive process that included a number of very competent Australian mining services providers. MACA was selected as the preferred contractor after submitting a compelling bid both in terms of price and execution. We look forward to partnering with MACA in the successful operation of the Karlawinda Gold Project,” Capricorn Executive Chairman Mark Clark said.

The $410 million contract will have an initial five-year term and will comprise of open pit mining services, including drilling and blasting as well as loading and hauling.
