MACA Limited and its subsidiary, MACA Interquip, has recently secured a number of contracts for infrastructure and civil works on various projects in Western Australia and Victoria.
The company has secured a $30 million design and build contract from the Main Roads Authority in WA for works on the Coongan Gorge realignment as well as other works on the project.
In the WA mining industry, MACA has secured a $12 million variation to its bulk earthworks contract which will extend the company’s scope to October 2018 with the Gruyere Joint Venture. MACA has also won a civil earthworks contract that will get the company to build evaporating ponds for Western Areas Limited at the Cosmos Nickel Project located near Leinster, with the contract expected to be valued at around $5 - 6 million.
In addition, the company’s subsidiary MACA Interquip has been awarded by Anglo Gold Ashanti a $6 million contract for structural, mechanical and piping works at the Tropicana Gold Project.
MACA Limited stated on their ASX announcement: “The works relate to a secondary mill upgrade at the plant and will employ circa 25 employees at peak manning. The works are expected to be completed in the second half of the 2018 calendar year.”
In Victoria, MACA will undertake an intersection upgrade for VicRoads. The company’s contract for this project is valued at approximately $6 million.
