MACA Interquip - a subsidiary of MACA Limited - has been awarded a $28 million contract for the construction of a mill facility at Adaman Resources’ Kirkalocka gold project located near Mt Magnet in Western Australia.
The scope of works under MACA’s contract will include the installation of a new semi-autogenous grinding (SAG) mill as well as the refurbishment of the existing mineral processing plant on site.
“We look forward to working with the team at Adaman Resources. MACA Interquip has an excellent record of successful refurbishment delivery. Our alliance with NCP International, who manufacture grinding mills and install complete comminution circuits globally, as an installation partner will provide MACA Interquip with further exposure as an integral mineral processing supplier,” MACA Operations Director Geoff Baker said.
The award of this multi-million dollar contract to MACA follows an early contractor involvement with the management team at Adaman, which allowed MACA to progress the design as well as the submission of orders for long lead time and lead time capital items.
Work under the eight-month contract is anticipated to commence in February 2019, with a workforce of up to 40 people.
