Lendlease has commenced construction on the $45 million redevelopment project of CS Square in Melbourne’s west.
According to CS Square Centre Manager Rod Kennedy, this project will enhance the centre’s existing grocery offer together with a number of specialty stores and services for the local community.
“CS Square is one of the leading shopping destinations for Melton East and this development will further enhance the retail offer and experience for our valued customers,” Mr Kennedy said.

This multi-million dollar project will expand CS Square by 6,500-SQM, with the addition of a Woolworths supermarket, a large format discount store, a car wash as well as more than 10 specialty stores and expanded amenities with new parents’ room.
The redevelopment will also include enhancing pedestrian access near Aldi and additional car parking spaces which will be located on a vacant land north of CS Square.
“The CS Square development will strengthen the position of the Centre through an additional diversified retail mix while delivering to customers’ convenience and greater supermarket choice.
“The project will stimulate the local economy by boosting employment and creating further opportunities for retailers in one of Melbourne’s growing population corridors,” Lendlease’s Head of Retail Gary Horwitz said.
The CS Square expansion is expected to be completed in early 2019.
