Georgiou Group has been awarded a contract for works on the $4.3 billion Pacific Highway – Woolgoolga to Ballina Upgrade project.
Scope of works under the new contract – with an estimated value of over $40 million – will involve the construction of a southbound carriageway. It includes the demolition and reconstruction of two bridges as well as earthworks and realignment of a new junction with the Pacific Highway.
“Traditionally, Georgiou has built a reputation as a quality roads contractor in Western Australia, however over the past five years our focus has been on building a national reputation across NSW and Queensland.
“This project is a great opportunity to showcase our capability in the transport market within NSW while building on our relationship with Roads and Maritime Services,” Georgiou Group Chief Executive John Georgiou said.
Georgiou is expecting to employ up to 50 people during peak construction of this project.
