Decmil has signed a three-year Framework Agreement with Shell-operated QGC Pty Ltd for brownfields work at the QGC facility in Queensland’s Surat Basin. This contract is valued at approximately $150 million, with an option to extend a further 2 years.
“This extension builds on the strong relationship we have with QGC and we are pleased to continue to support their upstream operations,” Decmil CEO and Managing Director Scott Criddle said.
Under the agreement, Decmil will provide a range of construction, maintenance and logistic services across QGC’s upstream projects.
Works under this contract will commence in November 2018.
Decmil has been in operations at QGC’s upstream project for more than seven years and the company has provided a number of services including installation of wellheads as well as brownfield maintenance activities.
Earlier this month, Decmil was also awarded an $86 million construction contract for the Drysdale Bypass project in Victoria.

Shell QGC venture has announced that it will be expanding its existing natural gas operations across Queensland. Project Goog-a-binge is expected to generate up to 350 jobs in the Western Downs region, together with contracts for local suppliers, over the next two years.
A $150 million contract extension has been awarded to CIMIC Group company Thiess for more works at the BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) Caval Ridge Coal Operations in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.
CIMIC Group company Thiess will continue delivering works at the Curragh Mine in Queensland, with the company recently awarded a six-year $1.3 billion contract extension by Coronado Global Resources Inc.
