Diversified contractor Decmil Group Ltd's wholly owned subsidiary, Decmil Australia Pty Ltd, has been awarded $46m worth of contracts for the Australian Department of Defence, with work to be carried out across multiple States.
Companies within the group specialise in design, civil engineering and construction, accommodation services, mechanical fabrication, maintenance and telecommunications.
Projects in WA include refurbishing the combat range and replacing the bullet escalator trap at Campbell Barracks in Swanbourne and upgrading to water supply infrastructure at the Bindoon Training Area. Decmil will also provide asbestos remediation and maintenance works of two hangars at RAAF Pearce in Bullsbrook, civil and infrastructure works at Irwin Barracks in Karrakatta and refurbishment and remediation packages at HMAS Stirling on Garden Island.
In NSW, Decmil were awarded sub-contract packages to install stainless steel aircraft fuel lines and construct new hot refuelling points as well as to install a new fuel control building and the associated crew rooms at HMAS Albatross in Parma.
Decmil had already been undertaking works at Robertson Barracks in NT and Wide Bay in QLD and was able to secure further works at both locations.
