GR Engineering has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth approximately $107.1 million for Dacian Gold’s Mount Morgans gold project located 20-kilometres west of Laverton in Western Australia.
Under their contract, GR Engineering will deliver a 2.5 million tonne per annum carbon-in-leach treatment facility for Mount Morgan as well as supporting infrastructures near the Jupiter open pit which includes a tailings storage facility, water supply infrastructure, workshops and offices, an administration complex, and a haul road.
Dacian Gold will also provide $5.2 million for accommodation, fuel and other expenses as part of GR Engineering’s EPC contract.
“With site mobilisation imminent, we look forward to continuing our work with Dacian Gold to deliver safe and successful outcomes for the project,” said GE Engineering Managing Director Geoff Jones.
Works on the project are already underway, with completion as well as the first gold production set for the first quarter of 2018.
