CPB Contractors – a CIMIC Group company – will continue delivering works on the Sydney Metro Pitt Street Station development following the award of a $368 million contract to deliver a 39-storey tower above the station’s northern entrance.

The design and construct contract was awarded by the Parkline Place consortium, which is comprised of Oxford Properties, MEA and Investa.

“CPB Contractors is pleased to secure a further opportunity to work closely with Oxford Properties, MEA and Investa in delivering another landmark building in Sydney’s CBD. It is a welcome addition to the portfolio of city-shaping projects CPB Contractors is delivering across Sydney,” CPB Contractors Managing Director Jason Spears said.

“This contract furthers the CIMIC Group’s involvement in the delivery of Sydney Metro’s City & Southwest project and its associated building projects. CPB will work closely with its clients and stakeholders to ensure that the building and station function seamlessly and that the new building is safely delivered to schedule,” CIMIC Group Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Juan Santamaria said.

CPB Contractors is already undertaking the delivery of the Pitt Street Station and the company was confirmed early this year as the preferred builder to deliver the $150 million build-to-rent building above the station’s southern entrance.

The new building will feature 47,800-SQM of office space along with 1,290-SQM of retail space. Parkline Place is anticipated to accommodate more than 4,500 people daily and will provide industry leading smart building features such as a digital twin building model “for real-time operations insight and management” as well as sustainability features including a Gold target minimum for WELL Rating Core and Shell.

“City-defining projects such as Parkline Place bring great minds together. We are confident in the Sydney office market and believe the project’s exceptional location, integration with the new Pitt Street metro station, leading sustainability and technology features and world class delivery team will underpin the successful delivery of the development,” Pitt Street North Project Director Nellie O’Keeffe said.

Construction of Parkline Place will commence immediately and the new building is due to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
