Contractor announced to deliver $232m Reservoir Station precinct in VIC

Major construction to remove the Reservoir level crossing in Victoria is set to commence soon and the John Holland, KBR and MTM alliance has been appointed to oversee the delivery of the $232 million project.

According to a statement released by the Level Crossing Removal Authority: “This Alliance has a strong track record having successfully removed level crossings at Skye/Overton Road in Frankston, Buckley Street in Essendon, Camp Road in Campbellfield and building the new Frankston station.”

This multi-million dollar project will comprise of an elevated rail bridge over High Street as well as a new modern Reservoir Station with above ground platforms accessible by lifts and stairs.

An updated design for the station precinct is expected to be released in early 2019.

Early works on the level crossing removal commenced in September of this year, with major construction activities expected to begin in 2019.

The new Reservoir Station precinct is due for completion in 2020.
