Civmec has secured approximately $90 million in resources contracts, which includes the construction of facilities at Alcoa’s Pinjarra alumina refinery in Western Australia.
The company’s scope of works will include building a filter facility, materials handling system and associated supporting infrastructure at the Pinjarra refinery.
Civmec’s engineering, procurement and construction contract with Alcoa is going to be executed over the next 18 months, with up to 200 people in the workforce.
“Having recently delivered refractory and maintenance work for Alcoa it is pleasing that they, and our other existing and new clients, see the value in our proven self-delivery model,” Civmec Chief Executive Pat Tallon said.
Civmec has also secured a contract with Altura Mining for civil concreting services for the construction of a lithium plant in Port Hedland.
The company has won maintenance, rectification and refractory projects for clients in Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia as well.
“Over the previous year we have focused heavily on ensuring we enter the new financial year with a healthy order book,” Mr Tallon said.
